Nickel Plate Trail construction to temporarily close 82nd Street
INDIANAPOLIS – Road work for the Nickel Plate Trail will temporarily close a portion of 82nd Street, expecting to last from April 7 through April 15.

There will be a hard closure in between Craig Street and Castleton Road, near the old railroad tracks. Businesses in this area will remain fully accessible to residents.

The posted detour will direct traffic from Allisonville Road to 96th Street, then onto I-69 before returning to 82nd Street. Drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly and allow extra travel time.

Construction on the trail is expected to be completed in the middle of 2025.
